Angelique Campen Stump, MD, FACEP, MBA is a mother of three, an Emergency Medicine Physician, a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine, an entrepreneur, and a philanthropist.
A native of Los Angeles, graduate of Georgetown University and UCLA School of Medicine, Dr. Angelique is currently a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at UCLA and an ER physician at Sharp Coronado Hospital. Previously, she served as an ER physician at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center for more than 20 years.
During her time at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, she served as Medical Director of the Emergency Department, sat on the Foundation Board of Governors, and was the physician champion in raising more than $70 million to build a new Emergency Department. She also spearheaded the Narcan and Suboxone program in the emergency department to help combat the opiate crisis facing the community.
In her “free time,” Dr. Angelique is mom to Hunter, Paris, and Scarlett. She has traveled on medical missions to Guatemala, Ecuador, Cuba, Peru, Cambodia, Nepal, and Brazil. She also appears regularly on news and radio programs to educate the public on health issues and has served as an advisor to the U.S. Congress with the American College of Emergency Physicians regarding COVID-19 on the West Coast. Through her social media presence, @GlamERdoc, she educates the public about COVID, medical conditions, and how to be your best medical advocate.
Dr. Angelique also owns The Best Kept Secret, where she offers in-home, confidential aesthetic medicine treatments. You may have seen many of her clients on the big screen, on TV, or walking along the streets of Coronado, but you would never know it — thanks to her talent for achieving a natural look.
Her mantra is “less is more,” and her patients appreciate that she will often talk them out of doing more treatments. Her goal is to help patients look healthy, refreshed, and like the best version of themselves.
Her passion for working in the emergency department does not come from the action, trauma, or intensity of emergency medicine, but from the human connection. As she explains, she gets to see people during some of the most intimate moments of their lives — when they are scared, hurting, relieved, or in pain — and she is able to make that experience as comfortable as possible.
